Senior Systems Administrator ( Mid – Sr Level)
Location : Atlanta, GA 30329
Duration : 5-6 Months (Possibility of Extension)

US Citizen and Clearable to Public Trust
Mandatory Skills : Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux, Windows and VMWare based systems
Standard working hours will be Monday – Friday, with daily core hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST.
•Off hours work - may include evenings and weekends, if needed
•Off hours work maybe scheduled in advance or short notice for emergency response to a problem
•40 hours maximum per week maximum.
•Offset hours overages by taking off on a future date as approved by the PM.
•There is a 24x7 hours a day for 365 days a year ability to contact for emergency response requirement for all personnel provided on this task order.
Responsibilities:
•Administration responsibilities for Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, Windows based production, test and development servers at primary and secondary sites.
•Initialization of virtualized Red Hat servers in VM Ware environment.
•Configuration of new server instantiations, and reconfiguration of existing server instantiations.
•Configuration and maintenance of storage devices such as network storage arrays.
•Configuration and maintenance of system network devices, and integration of system components.
•Installation, configuration and upgrades of operating system utilities and applications.
•Server, network, disk array planning, preparation, configuration support software installation
•Management of system, server or network resources (disk space, RAM, network bandwidth, etc.) .
•Support of 3rd party sourced, government off the shelf (GOTS), HW/SW of CDC customer.
•Configuration, maintenance security posture of systems ensuring they are compliant
•OS security controls impact on system applications
•Implementation of security controls to government customer standards.
•Timely and comprehensive application of system component patches and upgrades
•Management of server and application certificates
•Configuration and maintenance of local firewalls to customer standards.
•System and user account management and creation with customer security directives.
•Management, configuration, backup, recovery strategies file and storage
•Development and maintenance of custom scripts and jobs
•Remote and physical response and resolution efforts for system down notifications.
•Helpdesk operations support, analysis, troubleshooting leading to the resolution of ticket issue.
•Performance tuning of all server, network, storage or system components.
•Installation and configuration of automated monitoring tools for alert notification
•Teamwork with team project managers, system analysts, and database administrators
•Documentation including system architecture, component configuration, and processes.
•Planning and scheduling inputs to project management for all tasks.

Mandatory Requirements:
•5 years of Sun Solaris and Linux System Administration
•5 years of Microsoft Windows System Administration and VMWare environments.

Desired Requirements:
•Certifications from Sun, Red Hat, Microsoft.
•Experience with Red Hat Satellite and Kickstart
•Experience administering Puppet/SIMP
•Security certification Network+, Security+ or CISSP.
•BS/AA degree in a technical area of expertise.
•Administering government computer system in classified government computer systems.
