Return to Job Search   SharePoint .NET Developer Dec 15, 2015 Washington, DC     Requirements SharePoint Developer Client: Treasury / Internal Revenue Service Objective: Modernized data platform to facilitate modernization of over 200 data sources for IRS. Purpose: Implement a robust platform based on Microsoft SQL Server for data storage and retrieval, Microsoft SharePoint for user access, security and accessibility, Microsoft InfoPath for user interaction with the application including data entry and reporting. Create a secure, compliant and accessible platform enabling IRS users to have simultaneous access to critical data sources that facilitate their business needs. Users can interact with the system to identify data, and utilize that data in new and exciting efficient ways. Sr. SharePoint Applications Developer: Work as Technical Lead throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, analysis, design, development, testing of SharePoint applications with a MS SQL Server backend. Capture/document requirements, support creation of high quality technical documentation including architecture, requirements and test documentation is required. Develop MS SharePoint/SQL Server applications. Development with MS SharePoint/InfoPath/SQL Server. SharePoint Applications Developer reports to the Project Manager and other developers as well as with the client. Excellent client and team communication skills in a Federal Government environment are essential. Work independently, implement a project from analysis to completion with little assistance from other team members. Additional responsibilities include: •Design/develop SharePoint 2010/SQL Server 2008 applns •Design/Develop/Implement enterprise software solutions •Work with client, project manager, program manager, developers to implement a SharePoint/SQL Server design with best practices and modernizes Access applications •Visual Studio, SharePoint Web Interface, SharePoint Designer to develop solutions with SQL Server 2008 database •Design/Develop/Implement master pages, views, forms, templates, external lists, external content types, custom lists, BCS, service applications, web parts, master pages and other custom components. •Design/Develop/Implement forms that implement CRUD functionality for databases using SharePoint/InfoPath •Design/Develop/Implement reports in a SharePoint/SQL Server using SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) and report development tools •Assist with the migration of data •Testing, code reviews, documentation and training •Estimating work content and achieving planned timelines •Project management/lifecycle processes and procedures Required skills: •BS or MS in Computer Science or Related Major •Experience developing SharePoint applications from the ground up, including experience with SharePoint 2010 •Understanding of SharePoint 2010 structures, theories, principles, and practices •Programming skills in website development in a Microsoft SharePoint environment •Developing and utilizing SharePoint components including, forms, templates, external lists, external content types, custom lists, BCS, service applications, web parts, master pages and content management •Design Patterns and Object Oriented Programming •Communication and interpersonal skills •Strong work ethic – achieve objectives work independently and part of a team while working on-site or telecommuting •Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts/practices •Experience building advanced web applications (preferable .NET with C#), Developing Web Services •Know SharePoint APIs and architecture including experience with SharePoint web services 2010 API •Develop reports in SharePoint environment preferably using SQL Server Reporting Services, Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), and Performance Point •Developing applications with Visual Studio 2008/2010, SharePoint Designer, preferably with InfoPath and with a MS SQL Server backend •Configuring, administering, troubleshooting SharePoint 2010 Desired Skills •Developing SharePoint applications with a SQL Server backend is highly desired •Data migrations, from MS Access to SQL Server databases •Writing Systems Engineering documentation to Government standards/guidelines (Requirements, Design, Testing) •SharePoint Excel Services and Access Services including experience publishing Access databases and Excel Spreadsheets to SharePoint is highly desired •Configuring, administering, troubleshoot SQL Server 2008 •Developing InfoPath forms in a SharePoint 2010 •Migrate Access to a SQL Server/SharePoint framework •Install/configure Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory and Internet Information Services (IIS) •Experience with SharePoint Workflow is desired • SQL Server database design and implementation experience •Microsoft Certifications a plus!
