Java / J2EE Developer (Mid Level) Location: Seaside, CA US Citizen and Clearable to Public Trust (DoD) Permanent position ( 6 Months Temp Hire) Job Brief: " Support the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). " Responsible for leading (Maintenance and Update) on the following application/products/projects: o Enterprise batch framework and/or Beneficiary and Operator based web application o Portlet which is used by beneficiaries to update contact information within DEERS o Enterprise component used to query a hosted Code 1 server to verify addresses o DEERS web app that provides general information and allows users to download related documents (like technical specs) o Spatial Services Query Jar - java based component that interacts with a web services to perform queries such as drive time and drive distance between two locations EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: " 3-7 years of hands-on experience developing JEE applications with compliant application servers " Good programming skills with JAVA, JDBC (including SQL and Oracle PL/SQL), Servlets, JSP, JPA, HTML, CSS, Spring Framework and Maven " Good programming skills with developing and implementing enterprise level applications using distributed authentication " Experience with Weblogic and Tomcat application servers is a plus " Full life cycle experience with requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support " Demonstrated experience researching and evaluating new technologies " Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills " Linux/Unix and Windows " Act as a mentor to new team members on various technologies as necessary " Must be able to work on a very collaborative team EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: " Working knowledge of developing against Oracle Databases " Experience with Oracle Application Server and Oracle JDeveloper " JEE/Java performance testing and tuning experience " Production Support or Networking " Scrum Framework for project execution " Standard web practices TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: JEE, Web services, JSF, ADF, Struts, Spring, Maven |
